Chapter 01

General

For those new to the service

What is Castera?

A marketing platform connecting creators who run AI influencers with brands looking to advertise. Discovery and matching, contract signing, payment, and payout all happen in one place.

What is an AI influencer?

A virtual persona created with AI that runs social accounts and publishes content. On Castera, creators design, produce, and operate that persona, and brands run campaigns through those accounts.

How is this different from a human influencer?

The biggest difference is that deliverables can be remade to fit whatever format you need. The same persona can produce feed posts, reels, detail pages, and thumbnails sized for each channel — with no shoot schedule or location to work around.

Is Castera a party to the contract?

No. Castera acts as an intermediary for online transactions, providing the transaction system and a safe trading environment. The parties to a campaign contract are the creator and the brand, and they are responsible for the campaign's content, performance, quality, and legality.

How do I sign up?

Sign-up runs through a Google account, and you can also register with a company email. Either way, you complete registration by choosing a role (creator / brand) and accepting the required agreements.

Can I browse without signing up?

Yes. You can browse AI influencers on the discovery page without an account. Sending a brief and saving to your watchlist, however, require signing in with a brand account.

How much does it cost?

Signing up and browsing are free. Once a deal closes, a standard platform fee of 15% applies and is deducted from the creator's payout. For the first 6 months after approval it is 0% as a promotion. If the fee rate changes, contracts already signed keep the previous rate.

Is payment secure?

The full amount a brand pays is held in escrow and released to the creator only when the conditions set in the contract are met. Payments are processed by a payment gateway such as Toss Payments, and Castera does not store raw payment credentials like card numbers.

Do I have to disclose that content is AI-generated?

Yes — it is mandatory. AI-generated content published through a campaign must clearly state that it was created with AI. If the content is paid advertising, it must also carry a material-connection (sponsorship) disclosure. Full criteria are in the AI Content Disclosure document.

Is there an age requirement?

Anyone under 14 cannot register as a member. Registrations using someone else's identity or false information will be refused, and the agreement may be terminated if this is discovered later.

What does Castera Verified mean?

It marks creators whose metrics our team verified directly. You can spot this trust signal on the discovery and showcase pages.

Which languages are supported?

Four languages — Korean, English, Japanese, and Chinese. You can switch at any time from the top of the screen.

How will I know if the Terms change?

We post the effective date and the reason for the change on the service at least 7 days in advance. Changes that are unfavorable or material to members are announced 30 days in advance and communicated individually by email.

What happens if I close my account?

You are logged out immediately and your public profile and AI influencers are no longer shown. You cannot re-register with the same email. You cannot close your account while a contract is in progress — complete or cancel it first.
Chapter 02

Creator

For those running AI influencers

Who can join as a creator?

Anyone who runs AI influencer accounts or produces commercial work with AI can join. We review your portfolio, not your follower count.

How are AI influencers reviewed?

When you register a new AI influencer, our team checks the profile details and content direction before deciding on approval. Once approved, it becomes visible to advertisers. If rejected, you receive the reason and can revise and resubmit.

What do the AI influencer statuses mean?

Draft means not yet submitted, In review means our team is checking it, and Active means it is visible to advertisers. There are also Paused, Rejected, and Suspended states; rejections and suspensions always come with a reason.

How much is taken as commission?

The standard platform fee is 15%, and it is deducted from your payout rather than added to the payment. It is 0% for the first 6 months after approval, and payouts under that promotion are marked on the statement.

When do I get paid?

Payout is processed 7 days after the content is published. Amounts shown before settlement completes are estimates; the actual fee and net amount are finalized at payout.

How do tax invoices work?

Please issue tax invoices directly through Hometax (hometax.go.kr). Your payout statement is always available on the contract page.

How do I submit deliverables?

Upload 6 to 10 draft images along with the caption, hashtags, and publishing channel for each. At submission you must check the box agreeing to label the content as AI-generated.

What do I do after publishing?

After publishing on your own social account, you must record the published URL to move on to payout. Add one entry per channel if you posted to several, and each must be an official domain URL for that channel.

When is my real social handle revealed?

Only once the contract is signed and the payment has landed in escrow, and only to the brand on that contract. Until then it is protected under the social handle privacy policy.

Can I deal with a brand outside the platform?

No. Off-platform dealing, soliciting it, or exchanging contact details or social handles before a contract is signed is prohibited. Serious violations of trading order may result in immediate restriction without prior notice, with the reason given afterward.

What if something goes wrong mid-contract?

You can raise a dispute from the contract page. Describe the reason in 10 to 2,000 characters and our team will review and get back to you. As an intermediary, however, the company only supports mediation and is not liable for its outcome.
Chapter 03

Brand

For those running campaigns

How do I start a campaign?

After signing up, write a brief setting out the campaign scope, timeline, and budget, and matching creators will send proposals. You can also find an AI influencer yourself and send the brief directly.

How do I find creators?

Filter on the discovery page and save the AI influencers you like to your watchlist to compare later. Accounts whose metrics our team verified directly carry the Castera Verified badge.

How does a contract progress?

Brief → Proposal → Both parties sign → Escrow payment → Deliverables submitted → Review & approval → Publishing → Payout. The contract page always shows which step you are waiting on.

Who writes the contract?

You sign electronically using the standard contract Castera provides. Amount, deadline, revision count, and other terms follow the brief and the proposal. The standard contract carries a notice that it is a reference document drafted without legal counsel — for significant deals, we recommend having a lawyer review it.

How do I pay?

Once both signatures are in, you pay through escrow on the contract page. Payments are handled by a gateway such as Toss Payments. The full amount is held in escrow and released to the creator after you approve the content.

How do I review deliverables?

Look through the submitted draft images and either approve or request revisions. Click an image to leave a pin comment right on that spot, so it is clear exactly what needs to change.

How many revisions can I request?

As many as the contract specifies; the remaining count is shown on the review screen. Once they are used up you cannot request more, so it helps to gather all your feedback into one request.

What happens if I don't review in time?

If you don't respond within the set period, the submission is approved automatically. The time remaining is shown on the contract page. Approval starts the payout process, so please check before the deadline.

What if I'm not happy with the result?

Before approval, the payment stays locked in escrow. Request revisions first and work it out within the remaining revision count. If you still can't agree, you can raise a dispute from the contract page.

How do refunds work?

If the contract is cancelled before work begins, the escrowed amount is refunded in full. Cancellation after work has begun is calculated from the contract terms and how much was performed. You are also refunded if the creator's fault makes performance impossible. Refunds go back to the original payment method and may take several business days.

How do I get a receipt or tax invoice?

The electronic payment receipt is available directly on the contract page. For a tax invoice, please issue it through Hometax or contact our team.

Who owns the rights to the deliverables?

Ownership and scope of use are set by the contract between the creator and the brand; anything not covered follows applicable law. Castera does not intervene in rights over deliverables and is not liable for related disputes — so state the usage scope you need clearly in the brief.

Who is responsible for advertising disclosures?

Legal responsibility for AI labeling and sponsorship disclosure lies with the member who published the content and the advertiser. Castera provides the labeling criteria and may check for violations.

Are there words I can't use in a brief?

Wording tied to pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, health functional foods, and medical claims — along with absolute-effect claims — is blocked at input. Examples include efficacy, whitening, wrinkle improvement, treatment, no side effects, 100% safe. If your wording is officially approved, please contact our team.
